The Prostate
A Word About the Prostate
The prostate sits in the male pelvis, just above the rectum. A normal prostate gland is about the size of a walnut. It surrounds the urethra, a narrow tube that runs from the urinary bladder through the pelvis and through which urine is passed. The prostate normally fits snugly around the urethra like a donut so that it can empty milky white prostatic fluid into the tube at the moment of male orgasm. When the production of prostatic fluid dwindles, so does his vitality and sex drive.
Recent research has found that about one out of three men suffer prostate problems some time during his life. Zinc seems to be a vital element in maintaining a healthy prostate, which should be the concern of every man who wants to maintain youthful good health and sexual stamina.
